Dan Schwabel, a contributor for Forbes, publishes the top ten workplace trends each year and you should read about what is trending for 2015, including the continued lack of qualified talent, the line blurring between passive and active job seekers and more companies using social media to attract and retain top talent.
This last point relates directly to an earlier blog post of mine. More companies will be using social media to raise awareness of their employment brand and position themselves as forward thinking, cutting edge and creative. Is your social media profile optimized? Are you following your target organizations on Twitter and LinkedIn? Have you “liked” their pages on Facebook? Have you set up news alerts or subscribed to their blog and newsletters?
